I think the best way to describe me would be one crazy, wild child.
watching anime, reading manga, crazy hair, cute things, trashy things, animals, graffiti, art, editing, fashion, nights out, drinking, Shiney stuff, clubbing, parties If you message me Im likely to follow you blog :)
Be Loose! - I once met an artist who simply told me to “be loose”. Its probably the most helpful thing I’ve been told. Yeah, your work may look lovely all neat and well presented, but realistically, that can be extremely limiting and kind of boring! Be crazy, be experimental, use unique mediums and techniques and leave it at no limits!
Refine Ideas - It shouldn’t be often throughout your sketchbook that you touch upon an idea & abandon it. Even if you think its unsuccessful, re-work it. My favourite thing to do when I’m completely stumped is to photocopy pages, then re-work into them. It gives me all sorts of crazy ideas!
Don’t always use a plain white book.. Visit a second hand bookstore, and look for a book which relates to your topic. If you’re focusing on nature buy a book of trees - if you’re designing a set for a theater buy a period music book, if you’re looking at fairy-tales.. buy a fairy tale! & so on. You can roughly paint the pages white allowing some of the original print to show through - much more interesting than plain white pages!
